Welcome to Gwernyfed High School 

Thank you for taking an interest in Gwernyfed High School.

Our unique Welsh rural location based in a Mansion House dating from 1876, alongside a teaching block built in the latter part of the Twentieth Century allow students to study in a calm but purposeful atmosphere. Committed experienced staff who have a track record of success will support and encourage, but also challenge students to succeed.

Our website aims to give you information and an indication of life at our school. We aim for continuous improvement in all we do, therefore please tell us if we can add to what we have provided.

Please contact the school if you have any questions. As well as the formal Open Evenings I would be delighted to meet you, arrange a tour of the school during the day, and arrange for you to meet students and subject teachers.
